When visible light comes to planes which form habitable enclosures, these are identified as place. Azimuth Loose offers complex arrangement of less substantial matter which momentarily clouds surrounding verticals and horizontals, solids and voids. It offers place in which to fall into perception of the organic and electric phenomena of light.
The azimuth, or angular direction from North at which a celestial object is found, is measured at a horizontal plane: if the sun sets at perfect West, the azimuth is 270 degrees as measured clockwise from North. Finding direct sunlight in the given gallery space was impossible due to urban construction encroaching on view of the sky: thus, in this site responsive work, the imagined azimuth began to spin out of its horizontal plane, seeing orientation in every angle. The imagined tumult gives rise to directionless, steam-like forms which twist in the air between building levels, escaping a rigid and faulty framework.
